Mrs. Stephanie Miller
Hello everyone!! I am Stephanie Miller. This will be my 6th year teaching third grade at Shade Gap Elementary. I have been in the Southern Huntingdon School District for many years. It all started in 2010 when I did my student teaching with Mr. Todd Griest. Following graduation, I was a regular substitute teacher for grades K-12. Then, I taught sixth grade Ancient History for a year. Before becoming the third grade teacher, I was the interventionist/Title 1 Reading teacher here at Shade Gap.
I met my wonderful husband, Mathias, on the 4th of July in 2016. One of our favorite things to do is travel. In our travels I enjoy taking many pictures and then sharing them with my students. We welcomed our first child, Lyndon, on June 26, 2019. Our second son will be making his arrival in December of 2020. In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family and friends.
I truly love my job!! My students become my family, and I can't wait to watch them grow this year. I enjoy getting to know each and every student and their families throughout the school year. I use my knowledge of my students to help better their education. I want learning to be fun!! The kids should enjoy coming to school. I want each student to leave third grade with everlasting memories, an appreciation for knowledge, and confidence in themselves.
The best way to get ahold of me is through CLASS DOJO. I have the app on my phone and will respond as quickly as I can. I do not have set office hours, because I know that you all have busy schedules as well. Feel free to message me at anytime. If I do not answer right away I have probably either went to bed for the night, am somewhere without service, or Lyndon is getting into something and I'm chasing him around.
